Update: Lean User Flow for the creation & versioning of coordination models

NEW: Creation of partial model with obj mesh file

The Lean User Flow for creating and versioning coordination models can now also be used to import obj mesh file coordinates for a submodel. The additional coordinate settings (swap coordinates and import textures) can be viewed and customised by the user via a dropdown in the document screen of the submodel.

Update: Archiving and creating a new version of a coordination model

A bug in the archiving of previous versions of a coordination model has been solved.
The versioning process has also been optimised so that the creation of a new version of a coordination model is only permitted if the coordination model is located on a workflow task intended or configured for this purpose.

If the creation of a new version of the coordination model is permitted, the user is asked again in a dialogue, as the previous version of the coordination model is then "frozen" and then archived in the background:

As soon as the new version of the coordination model has been created, the previous version is archived. This can be recognised by the zip icon as well as the document or workflow status "Archived" within the CDE INFRASTRUCTURE database view. In contrast, the new version of the coordination model is pushed directly to the previously defined workflow task in accordance with the defined workflow.

This is an optimisation of the process. In the previous version [database template 116], the new version of the coordination model was initially placed in the user's imports so that only the user and creator of the new version had access to it. This often led to problems, support reports and the repeated creation of new versions of a coordination model. The new version of the coordination model is now pushed directly into the specified workflow task without having to be released again within the imports. Another advantage is that several users now have access to edit the new version of the coordination model (e.g. add new submodels before forwarding to the next workflow task in accordance with Lean User Flow).

If a completely new version of a coordination model needs to be created, this can still be done using the lean user flow principle by creating a new coordination model as a document and using the new index number as the document number. The generated coordination model (addition of released submodels) can then still be carried out from your imports. The newly generated coordination model is then forwarded from the imports directly to the workflow task for the index increase. Note: In this case, there is no archiving as there is no previous version and the coordination model has been completely recreated in this case!

For more detailed information on Lean User Flow and the creation and versioning of coordination models, please go to Instructions for the creation & versioning of coordination models.

Update: Performance improvement when exporting large coordination models with a large number of CDE INFRASTRUCTURE DocLinks

The performance for exporting coordination models with a large number of submodels (>100) and a high number of CDE INFRASTRUCTURE DocLinks (>10,000) has been improved so that these use cases can now also be processed stably in the background.

Update: CDE INFRASTRUCTURE FullClient

NEW: 2FA via Authenticator app now available

Two-factor authentication can now also be carried out via the Authenticator app. Previously, this was only possible using the SMS procedure and has now been implemented as a new, additional procedure.

Once you have successfully logged in to CDE INFRASTRUCTURE, you will be asked for an additional password. This password will now be displayed on the respective Authenticator app. This is possible for the Microsoft and Google Authenticator app. To use this for your project, please contact CDE INFRASTRUCTURE. This is an add-on feature which is available at an extra charge.

Update: Upload of emails now with transfer of the email subject as file name

When uploading emails (e.g. to the CDE INFRASTRUCTURE DMS database), the subject of the email is now transferred with a limited length of characters. This makes it easier for you to trace the original file name of the upload within the document. Previously it was a cryptic file name.

Update: Create support message

The support dialogue has been slightly adapted so that the email address is already preselected and cannot be changed by the user.

Update: Creation of new Excel report template now with optional setting for documents distributed in parallel

In Excel reports, documents that were distributed in parallel in a workflow are analysed several times in reports by default, as these are on different tasks. It is now possible to make a setting for newly created Excel report templates so that "Documents in parallel workflow (multiple distribution)" are not taken into account. The document is therefore only analysed once in the report.

Update automatic stamp setting

Due to updates of various third-party PDF viewers (e.g. locally installed PDF viewer), it was necessary to update the programming for applying PDF stamps in CDE INFRASTRUCTURE. This means that the respective stamps for PDF files with syntax errors can now be displayed correctly again in your local PDF viewer. The update is available from database template 117.
Note: The viewer integrated in CDE INFRASTRUCTURE was and is not affected by this.
